Man arrested following alleged dispute on ferry

A 48-year-old Delta man was arrested in Langdale following a report of a domestic dispute on the ferry from Horseshoe Bay last Sunday.

A 48-year-old Delta man was arrested in Langdale following a report of a domestic dispute on the ferry from Horseshoe Bay last Sunday.

On May 5, Sunshine Coast RCMP responded to a report of an alleged domestic dispute on the ferry traveling from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale.

"Witnesses saw a man and woman arguing in their vehicle on board the ferry that escalated to a physical altercation," said Cpl. Steve Chubey in a news release. "Police were called and BC Ferry staff intervened, taking the female victim to the steward's office. The suspect was arrested after the ferry docked and he had driven off the ferry."

The suspect was transported to the Sunshine Coast detachment for processing and was released on a promise to appear and undertaking to appear at the Sechelt provincial court on May 15.
