The District of Sechelt has set aside next Thursday as “Have Your Say Day” to get input from residents on a host of issues including regulations around cannabis retail and production
“We have a lot going on at the moment and rather than overwhelm the community with one event after another we thought we would do it all at once so people can stop by and learn more about the topics that interest them,” said communications manager Julie Rogers in the release announcing the event.
The district has booked the Seaside Centre from 3 to 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 6 for an open-house style gathering with tables for each key topic and district staff on hand to answer questions and receive feedback.
For people who can’t attend in person, the district is also taking feedback through its website at sechelt.ca/haveyoursay
As well as cannabis, the district is looking for opinions on: short-term rentals; mobile vending; plans for a dog park at Ebbtide; the Trail Bay walkway between Friendship and Snickett parks; and the Integrated Community Sustainability Plan.
