After receiving feedback from residents, the Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) has changed the date of the first public engagement event for a new Halfmoon Bay Community Hall project proposed for Connor Park to Wednesday, June 21. The event will take place from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the park (8108 Northwood Road, Halfmoon Bay).
The session is billed as an opportunity for the public to ask questions, provide input and view potential facility siting options with SCRD staff. It was initially scheduled for June 15.
Last week, the local government launched a community information page to help guide the vision for the project. Also launched was a "Let's Talk" page where the public can ask questions, as well as view answers to questions raised by others.
