Gibsons council adopted an updated Council Code of Conduct at its March 7 council meeting.
The version was tweaked from the town’s first code, introduced by the previous council in February of last year.
The newly adopted version includes a members' statement that those on council or appointed to town committees, commissions and task forces will sign, committing those individuals to “following model of excellence” which includes recognizing diversity, respecting one another, and striving to keep the decision-making processes open, accessible, participatory, understandable, timely, just and fair.
