B.C. Ferries is expanding its free wireless Internet service on the ships servicing the

Horseshoe Bay - Departure Bay and Horseshoe Bay - Langdale routes, as well as at these three terminals.

The service, which went live on Thursday, May 31, will enable customers to email and to browse the Internet.

Free wireless Internet is now available in passenger areas throughout the ships. In addition, Wi-Fi is also accessible to customers at the Horseshoe Bay, Departure Bay and Langdale terminals.

"Customers on these routes have requested Internet access and we are pleased to offer our passengers free Wi-Fi when they travel with us," said Corrine Storey, B.C. Ferries' vice president of customer services. "Now the crossing can be more productive for business travellers and for others just wanting to access the Internet."

Wi-Fi service is also available on ships servicing the Tsawwassen - Swartz Bay route and at those two major terminals.
