The 18-year-old Gibsons man charged with nine firearms and breach related charges plead guilty in Sechelt Provincial Court on Dec. 30, 2011. He received a two-month jail sentence, followed by a nine-month conditional sentence order. The man has also received a section 109 Criminal Code firearms prohibition and forfeiture order. He was arrested on Dec. 28 after police received a call of shots fired off Reed Road in Gibsons. The RCMP is withholding his name as two of the probation charges are under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
