This Saturday, Nov. 23, local representatives of the Liberal Party of Canada will host federal MP Kirsty Duncan to address the challenge climate change presents for Canada.

Duncan is well-qualified to address this subject having served on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, an organization that won the 2007 Nobel Prize with Al Gore.

"A recent survey of our supporters on the Coast identified a strong interest in understanding climate change in a Canadian context along with potential policy solutions," said riding association president Ken Halliday.

The presentation is from 10 a.m. to noon at Frank West Hall on Chaster Road in Gibsons and is free and open to the public. Following Duncan's formal comments there will be a question and answer session to enable audience participation.
