A total of $9,981 was raised for Dry Grad activities on the Coast through sales at BC Liquor Stores during their 2012 fundraising campaign.
The money will help fund two Dry Grad activities at Elphinstone Secondary School. The main activity will be an all night alcohol free party for grads, complete with laser tag, a casino, bull riding and a dance held on June 27 at the Gibsons and Area Community Centre. The other Dry Grad activity has already taken place and it involved a weekend trip up Sechelt Inlet to Camp Malibu.
GradPASS
BC Transit is congratulating grads by giving them a free GradPASS designed to allow students two days of free, unlimited travel by bus in the month of June.
"BC Transit sends best wishes to all graduates," said BC president and CEO Manuel Achadinha. "Our young riders will shape the future of both public transportation and their communities as a whole. BC Transit hopes GradPASS helps reinforce our safe and convenient solution to local transportation."

The plan states the council's vision is that "Sechelt is a bold, innovative community where people want to live, work and play," and their mission is to "work together as a dynamic team providing positive, constructive leadership for our community."
