Police on the Sunshine Coast are asking the driver involved in a March 22 hit and run to come forward.

According to a March 24 press release, the Sunshine Coast RCMP received a report that a pedestrian was hit by someone driving a purple or blue sedan. The female pedestrian was walking along Trail Ave and crossing Dolphin Street between 2 and 2:10 p.m. on Wednesday when the driver rolled the stop sign, the release said. She was struck on her right leg, sustaining minor injuries, and spilling coffee on the hood of the sedan before the vehicle left the scene.

As the Sunshine Coast RCMP ask the driver to come forward, the police are also looking to speak with witnesses and anyone with dash camera footage or other surveillance. The RCMP can be reached at 604-885-2266. The file is 2023-1798.
