Crews have started demolition work at the former RCMP detachment site in Gibsons, which is slated to become a 40-unit supportive housing building. BC Housing received zoning and official community plan approval for the project on Dec. 17, 2019.
According to the latest update from the Town, the final development permit and building permits are still to be issued. The housing agency has not given a target date to have the facility open.
