A candlelight memorial has been planned for tonight (Aug. 22) at Spirit Square in Sechelt at 8 p.m. to honour and remember Jack Layton.
Layton, the leader of the federal New Democrats, died on Monday morning at the age of 61 after a battle with cancer.
Local NDP supporters, union members and anyone else from the public interested in paying their respects and to remember Layton are invited to attend. If you are attending, you are asked to bring candles.
