On June 11, a Gibsons woman called police after waking to find that her residence had been ransacked by an unknown thief as she and her boyfriend slept.
According to Cpl. Steve Chubey, Thieves went through kitchen cupboards and the TV was stolen.
"In my experience, break-ins of this nature are scary," said Chubey. "All it takes is for one of the home owners to wake up while this is going on and things can easily turn sideways."
RCMP are asking all home-owners to ensure their homes are properly secured, whether they are home or not, especially during the summer months. Police are urging the public to call police to report all suspicious circumstances and to keep an eye out for their neighbours.
Anyone with information on this or any other criminal matter are urged to call RCMP at 604-885-2266 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
