Break-in suspect pleads guilty

A 42-year-old Gibsons man has plead guilty to charges after Sunshine Coast RCMP caught him committing a break and enter in Sechelt last week.

According to a news release from Cpl. Steve Chubey, RCMP arrested Kenneth Henry Dempster committing a break and enter at a Whitaker Road address in Davis Bay on April 11.

Chubey said on April 23, Dempster plead guilty to break and enter and possession of break-in instruments. Dempster was sentenced to 150 days custody (minus 13 days served) and one and a half years probation, commencing on his release for the break-in. He was sentenced to 30 days custody to be served concurrently with the 150 days for possession of break-in instruments.
