The diversity of Pata-gonian birds will come alive at the next meeting of the Sunshine Coast Natural History Society (SCNHS).
Bodhi and Mudito Drope will be the guest speakers at the meeting set for Friday, Feb. 2, at 7:30 p.m. at the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre in Sechelt.
The Dropes have visited Chile and Argentina four times during the past eight years. Accordingly, they are in an excellent position to give us an illustrated presentation about the diverse Patagonian bird, animal and insect life and some aspects about the people as they go about their daily lives.
The Dropes are well-known residents of the Sunshine Coast. They used to run a sea kayaking business for many years out of Gibsons and have written the popular book Paddling the Sunshine Coast. They were involved in the establishment of Jedediah Island as a provincial park.
This interesting couple currently works hard on artistic endeavours that previously they never had enough time for - Bodhi pursues sculpture and digital photography while Mudito is very involved with painting.
