Attempted robbery at Sunshine Lodge Motel

Sunshine Coast RCMP are seeking information from the public to aid its investigation into an attempted robbery at the Sunshine Lodge Motel on Sunday. According to RCMP, on July 24 at 11:30 p.m.

Sunshine Coast RCMP are seeking information from the public to aid its investigation into an attempted robbery at the Sunshine Lodge Motel on Sunday.

According to RCMP, on July 24 at 11:30 p.m., a woman wearing a balaclava and brandishing a knife entered the Gibsons motel and demanded $100 from staff.

"Staff refused to give her the money and the woman left the hotel, walking towards Gibsons Way," said Cpl. Steve Chubey.

RCMP are asking for assistance from the public in identifying the perpetrator of this robbery. The suspect is described as a Caucasian female, 40 to 50 years of age, blond or light brown chin-length hair, approximately 5'4" to 5'5" tall, wearing blue-jean shorts with the cuffs rolled just above the knees and a black hoodie sweatshirt.
