Having a ball: On May 24, the annual Ladies Two Ball golf event was held at the Sunshine Coast Golf Club in Roberts Creek. Forty-eight ladies participated on 24 teams to compete in the event. Teams came from the clubs on the Sunshine Coast as well as from other clubs in the province.
The best gross score (not using handicap net scoring) was from Mel Chernoff and Tracey Buehler. The best net score was turned in by Sunshine Golf Club members Joan Davey and Gail Schultz.
Despite the weather, the ladies commented on it being a fun event and look forward to playing in the tournament again next year.
Funds raised were for the St. Bart’s food bank and sponsors were IGA, the Gibsons Landing Clothing store, Helene Johnston, Eileen Evans, the Diving Locker and Claytons.
