A very healthy-looking coyote, apparently already in its winter coat, stands on the mud flats adjacent to Porpoise Bay Provincial Park, Sept. 25. “It has likely been feasting on the pink salmon currently spawning in Angus Creek,” said wildlife photographer Carl Olsen. “Although a risk to cats, small dogs, and fawns, they mainly eat rodents, insects and fruit.”
