An egg-cellent Easter campaign

Between now and April 24, Easter Seals paper eggs are "hatching" in participating retail locations across B.C.

Between now and April 24, Easter Seals paper eggs are "hatching" in participating retail locations across B.C. In the weeks leading up to TB!S the bargain shop stores, including the Gibsons location and Booster Juice locations, will be offering customers the chance to donate $2 to purchase a colourful paper egg. Customers can write their name on the egg, which will then be displayed in the store to create fun and festive Easter displays to help create awareness of Easter Seals services in B.C. All funds raised from paper egg sales go towards helping children with disabilities and families across B.C. who use Easter Seals services.

Each year more than 800 children with disabilities from communities across B.C. attend a week-long summer camp session at one of three Easter Seals Camps in B.C. for free. The camps are located in Squamish, Winfield and Shawnigan Lake on Vancouver Island. The focus at camp is on each child's abilities rather than their disabilities to help the campers gain the confidence, independence and skills they need to live happy, fulfilling lives.

Easter Seals Houses provide an affordable, supportive place for families to say when they have to travel when a child needs medical treatment. The three Easter Seals houses in Victoria, Prince George and Vancouver are conveniently located near hospitals and rehabilitation centers and are wheelchair accessible making it possible for families to be near each other while going through a stressful time.
