The Community Resource Centre in partnership with the Sunshine Coast Prevention of Violence Against Women Co-ordinating Committee is holding a candlelight vigil to remember the 14 young female students who were murdered at L'Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal in 1989.

The community is invited on Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. to the resource centre in Sechelt (5520 Trail Ave.) to remember the students and to honour all women who have died by violence. The candlelight vigil will include readings about each woman killed in Montreal, people present will share their thoughts about the event, and a moment of silence will follow. Tea will be served inside the resource centre following the vigil.

For more information, call the resource centre at 604-885-4088.
