Do not miss the upcoming exhibitions at the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre in Sechelt. For two weeks, Feb 11 to Feb. 22, the artwork of elementary school students will be displayed in the Young Peoples Own Show. The second half of this exhibition is a two-week display of high school students' artwork, Feb. 25 to March 7. The exhibition is put on by the Sunshine Coast Arts Council in co-operation with the teachers of School District No. 46 to showcase students' work. This non-competitive show is an important outlet for Sunshine Coast students. It is a great opportunity for children and teens to engage in a cultural activity and get community recognition for their involvement. This show always proves to be a great display of the amazing talent of our young people and their unfettered exuberance of creating art. Make a point of seeing both parts of this exhibition, but remember they are each only two weeks long, so don't leave it to the last minute.
