The Coast Academy of Dance has done it again in this year’s Winter Dance Show at the Heritage Playhouse Theatre in Gibsons. The Pre-Professional dancers and Competitive teams worked together and presented a show full of excitement, colour and exquisite dancing. The show was fantastic from the start to the very end with pieces choreographed by teachers and senior students.

The show had a beautiful variety of styles of dance from ballet to acrobatics and everything in between.

It opened with a piece danced by the Pre-Professional dancers, a piece where movement is depicted by strength and softness, which set the tone for the rest of the show drawing upon all the different styles of dance in a together and seamless production.

With a small army of very talented dancers ranging in ages from 10 to 18, and of course our adult group, the Coast Academy of Dance allowed the community to have a taste of what’s to come in this year’s competition season and has us looking forward to their annual Year End Show in June.

A very well done to all involved in the Winter Dance Show from the dancers to the very talented choreographers. It was clear how each and every person involved had put in a tremendous amount of work and energy to put together a fantastic production.

It was a delightful reminder of the beautiful dance community that we have here on the Sunshine Coast and how it continues to grow each and every year.
