Guitarist Tony Wilson is returning to the Sunshine Coast with two shows next week. The first is a return of "Hammer and nails and possibly electric drill" on Friday, Oct. 3, 8 p.m. at the Gumboot Café in Roberts Creek. Wilson will be joined by Graham Ord, sax/electronics, Barry Taylor, percussion, and Giorgio Magnanensi on everything else. This was a hit last year and if you like new and improv, this is definitely for you.

The second show is Saturday, Oct. 4, at 8 p.m. at the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre in Sechelt where Wilson will perform an intimate solo concert, a guitar lover's dream.

Wilson won a West Coast Music Award with his band Video Barbecue and released the critically acclaimed Lowest Note in 2001, which went on to become a pick of the year in Globe and Mail.

The shows are presented by the Sunshine Coast Jazz and Entertainment Society. Tickets for the Oct. 4 solo show are $10, available at Gaia's Fair Trade, MELOmania in Roberts Creek and $12 at the door. Friday show is by donation. For more information, see www.coastjazz.com.
