Teal Loverock releases first CD

Pender Harbour

On Friday, March 27, Teal Loverock, an up and coming young musician from Pender Harbour, held his first ever CD release party at the Pender Harbour Community Hall. More than 70 people showed up to partake in free food and live music. The crowd enjoyed many of Loverock’s hits, like The Place We Live and Spheric Oval, while a group of lively children danced enthusiastically in front of the stage.

It was a high-energy performance, with an amazing blend of up-beat rock and hip hop and relaxing folk and reggae sounds. He had the hall rocking!

After an hour and a half of non-stop jamming, everyone left with a full belly and an autographed copy of Teal’s new CD.

“It was awesome. I was stoked to see so many of my friends and family show up. Some of my friends even came up from Vancouver for it, and those kids dancing around were the life of the party,” Teal said. “People said the food was delicious, and I sold over $300 worth of CDs, which I’m going to put towards recording equipment. Most of all, I just had a fantastic time rocking out for everybody.

“I’m looking forward to sharing my music with the rest of the Coast and hopefully the world.”

Loverock will be street performing and selling CDs on the Coast for the next year or two.

“If you like what you hear, then support the cause. It’s always very much appreciated,” he said.
