Documentary

Inside Job, a documentary from director Charles Ferguson and narrated by Matt Damon was the winner of the 2010 Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. It is considered the most comprehensive, objective and damning investigative documentary to tackle the 2008 global financial meltdown.Producer/director Ferguson, who holds a PhD in political science and is a former business consultant, conducts on-camera interviews with principal players.

Calm and unfailingly polite, although often incredulous at what he is hearing, Ferguson skewers lobbyists, government apologists, and academic "hired guns" in his search for what actually lay behind the financial catastrophe.

The SC Film Society brings the film to the Gibsons' Heritage Playhouse at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 27. Doors open at 7. Members: $5, single event tickets are $8. See www.scfs.ca for more.
