Sojourners in concert

Botanical Garden

At 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, which happens to be Father’s Day, the Botanical Gardens on Mason Road in West Sechelt will rock and rejoice with the Seriously Gospel Sounds of famous Vancouver-based trio The Sojourners.

A quote from their website describes (in part) what the audience can anticipate: “There are lots of sugary, squeaky-clean gospel songs out there, but that’s not what you come for when you decide to spend time with The Sojourners. Marcus Mosely, Will Sanders and Khari McClelland perform music that reflects the world we all live in.

“They don’t sing about some removed perfect place or any distant plains of glory. Their music expresses the old adage that God does the best work on the streets and in the gutters and not in the houses of power or the mansions of the rich. This is gospel music that can take a punch and remain standing.”

Please join hosts Habitat for Humanity for refreshments, great raffle prizes and a chance to enjoy the beautiful Botanical Gardens from 2 to 2:30 before the Sojourners sing.
