Aug. 12 was a homecoming for two-thirds of the Celtic music trio NUA. Graeme McGillivray on guitar and James Law on fiddle (pictured with bodhran player Jacob McCauley) returned from touring to their Roberts Creek home to perform at a showcase concert of superb musicians.
It was also a homecoming for musician and step dancer Erynn Marshall who lived in Gibsons before she left for Virginia to learn old-time fiddling.
All of the concert performers were also instructors gathered on the Coast to teach at Fiddleworks, the family oriented music program held this year at Camp Byng. The four-day camp features classes for eager kids on fiddle, cello, guitar, piano, theatre, dance, art and more under the direction of instructor and organizer Zavallennahh Young.
