Three Grade 6 and 7 students from Langdale Elementary School were presented with plaques and prizes on March 8 from Gibsons Legion Branch 109’s Wilma Jones (second from left) and Carol Duff for their performance in the annual Remembrance Day contest. Zach Du Preez (left) received a first place intermediate prize for his poem, Aloha Shinkai (second from right) won the intermediate prize for her submission of a poster and Vanessa Tonis (far right) was awarded the junior prize for her poem.
