Highland dance teacher Meghan Pike works from her studio in Surrey but also visits the Coast once a week to teach for local Danceworks Academy. Her students, aged from four to 17, from Thistlebrook Academy of Highland Dance in Surrey and Danceworks in Gibsons, gathered at the Kinsmen Hall recently to rehearse their performance for a St. Patrick’s Day celebration in Cloverdale. The local students will also take part in the dance component of this year’s Sunshine Coast Festival of the Performing Arts in April.
