Consummate musician Harry Manx returned to the Sunshine Coast for a performance at the Rockwood Pavilion on Aug. 26.

He was accompanied by the Emily Carr String Quartet, who brought a lush new dimension to his music.
They performed songs from Manx’s latest release, Faith Lift, some of the “Indian flavoured blues” he is well known for, and a couple of original takes on tunes by Muddy Waters and Van Morrison.
Manx played a number of guitars, including a unique 24-stringed instrument, as well as banjo and harmonica, and offered friendly banter between songs.
Partial proceeds from the concert will go to support the Ruby Slipper Fund.
