Grant Lawrence returns to Desolation Sound and its cast of unforgettable characters in the sequel to his debut memoir, Return to Solitude.

Prodigious raconteur Grant Lawrence is returning for another Sunshine Coast evening to remember as he brings his hit Stories and Songs touring show back to Gibsons at the Heritage Playhouse on Friday, May 5 at 7 p.m.

Lawrence promises another evening filled with true stories about outlandish coastal characters from past and present. The award-winning author and broadcaster will read from his new bestselling book Return to Solitude, his podcasts (Hermit of Desolation Sound, Cougar Lady Chronicles) and his first bestseller, Adventures in Solitude.

The stories will be complemented by songs performed by Juno Award-winning artists and feature all-star performers Jay Malinowski (of Bedouin Soundclash), Suzie Ungerleider (formally of Oh Susanna!) and more.

The show starts early, at 7 p.m. and will conclude at 9 p.m. Tickets ($30) are available from Talewind Books in Sechelt, Reasons to Live in Gibsons and via Eventbrite’s local listings.
