Short Story Writers

“The workshop begins with the premise,” says Reece, “that a good story is ‘a character in a situation that exposes some truth about the human condition.’”

The workshop encourages Coast writers to delve deeper into what makes a short story, including inspiration, characteristics that differentiate the short story from the novel and how to approach essentials: beginning, middle and ending. Writers are encouraged to bring their own short story examples to share. More on PJ Reece can be found at www.pjreece.ca. Contact Gibsons Library to reserve your place at 604-886-2130.
