The first exhibition of 2005 at the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre is the annual Friends of the Gallery (FOG) show.
Each year, to celebrate the artists' connection to the extended arts community on the Coast, members of the Sunshine Coast Arts Council are invited to submit a recent piece of their artwork for display. There are an amazing variety of artists who have chosen the Sunshine Coast as their home, so make sure to come to the Arts Centre to view the art of the well-established as well as the relative unknown. This exhibition, with its diversity of styles, has something to please a wide range of aesthetic tastes.
The artists' reception is Wednesday, Jan. 11, from 7 to 9 p.m. The FOG exhibition will run until Feb. 20. Gallery hours are Wednesday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.
