Gibsons is back on TV screens starting May 28, as reality dating series Farming For Love premiers on CTV

Local equestrian Ashleigh, 33, is one of five single farmers looking for love in the Canadian adaptation of the U.K. series Farmer Wants a Wife

Comedian Sabrina Jalees is hosting the 10-episode season airing Sundays at 7 p.m.

The series, which began its filming last fall, sees each farmer "invite a group of singles to live and work alongside them, immersing themselves in a series of farm chores, group activities, and intimate one-on-one dates with the ultimate goal of finding their life partner," says a press release.

The first episode is titled "Let the Dating Begin!"

"In what could be the meeting of a lifetime, farmers do their best to get to know their daters through a series of speed dates before choosing a handful to take back to their farm," explains an episode teaser. "At the end of the day, one farmer shocks everyone, while host Sabrina Jalees drops an exciting bomb of her own, beginning the journey with a thrilling start."

Ashleigh, who according to her online profile "likes adventure and spends her spare time ATVing, paddle boarding, or going to the beach," is one of three candidates from agricultural communities on B.C.'s mainland. Two others — a volleyball star turned dairyman and a South African entrepreneur with a knack for animal husbandry — operate farms on Vancouver Island.
