Expo of the Arts planned for Mother's Day weekend

The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 140, cordially invites the public to Expo of the Arts, the largest indoor, juried artist/artisan venue of its calibre, showcasing both local talent and a select few from off-Coast.

The show commences Friday evening, May 7, with a wine and cheese, invitation-only gala reception attended by local dignitaries and patrons of the arts. It will be a white glove affair. The Legion will bagpipe in Mayor Cam Reid who will preside over the official opening.

Saturday and Sunday, the show will be open for the general public with free admission. This is the perfect weekend to entice all to treat the special person in their life to an incredible show and the special feature dinners available. A complimentary flower will be presented to all mothers. To top it off, there will be a classical backdrop featuring some of our finest Sunshine Coast musicians.

The Seaforth Cadets will be standing on guard throughout the show as well as providing valet parking and coat check services. Legion members will be present in all their regalia. The show will be held Mothers' Day weekend, May 8, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and May 9, 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 5591 Wharf Street, Sechelt.
