Tonight, (Friday) Jordao Studios in association with VOICE presents a special double bill concert featuring Electrolyte and Siadic.
Both bands push the envelope for live music entertainment.

Auditions
Driftwood Players will be holding auditions at the Heritage Playhouse tonight, (Friday) from 7 to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for two one-act playsby Woody Allen: Riverside Drive (two men 40 to 60 years, one woman 20 to 40 years) and Central Park West (two women 50 to 60 years, one womanteen to 30 years, two men 50 to 60 years.) Meet the artist
The Sunshine Coast Arts Council is pleased to announce that Gertrude Pacific's show, This Wonderful World: A Retrospective, is being held over until May 13 in the Doris Crowston Gallery at the Art Centre in Sechelt (Trail and Medusa streets).
This Saturday Pacific will be in attendance from 1 to 4 p.m. to talk about her 40-year's work as an artist.
In addition, Jessica Casey, weaver of wool and cedar, will be in the gallery on Saturday with a piece of the work she will show at a later exhibition.
Theatre dialogue
Actor Sally Williams presents The Theatre of Our Lives on Saturday from 1 to 4 at the Gibsons and District Public Library.

Prison Dance

Dragon Dance
Sunshine Dragons Abreast are having a spring dance on Saturday, from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Sechelt Seniors Centre.

Local Yuk Yuk
Last October, Teri Bosner won a Yuk Yuks-sponsored So You Think You're Funny comedy competition in Roberts Creek and she has been performing her stand-up routine ever since.
Bosner will be performing at the brand new Yuk Yuks in Vancouver on Saturday opening the two pro shows for Mark Forward, Canada's most recognizable comic (8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.). Hair for Kenya
A Song Circle led by Karen Stein is going to be singing all day on Tuesday, April 24 at Hair We Are! Salon. This is a fundraising event for the Isecheno Primary School in Kenya. The circle performs at local festivals and shares their song for a good cause. After listening to Stein's stories of fundraising for Isecheno, Laura Christmas and Lynn Nestman of Hair we Are!offered tocollect donations for the school. They are now generously offering an entire day of haircuts by donation at their salon on 1554 Ocean View Drive to whoever shows between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. All donations from this event will go towards necessary assistance to Isecheno Primary School. Stein will be there to lead and provide singing and will be happy to answer any questions that donors may have about the project.
Theatre
One Man, Two Guvnors, a hilarious play by the National Theatre of London in HD, is back by popular demand. It screens on Thursday, April 26 at 7 p.m. at the Raven's Cry Theatre.
