Sunshine Coast Credit Union (SCCU) recently supported the spring edition of Sunshine Coast music workshops, a unique music engagement program featuring local musicians of all ages and skill levels along with adults with developmental disabilities.
The weekly series of music workshops is facilitated by musician Steve Wright who engages other musicians and participants in the process of sound discovery and creation. Jodi Fichtner, VP marketing at SCCU, acknowledged the value of supporting this program by recognizing that “we are very encouraged that a program like this exists, one that brings together our diverse community through creativity and music.”
The ongoing music workshops are open to the public and happen every Thursday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre in Sechelt.
