The Hackett Park summer arts and crafts fair turns 25 this year.
The fair runs Saturday, Aug. 18, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 19, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in Hackett Park in Sechelt.
This year's fair will feature more than 70 quality artists, live entertainment, food concessions and children's activities. Admission is by donation, $3 for adults, $2 for seniors. Children under 12 are free when accompanied by an adult.
Local artists will be joined by artists and artisans from across North America at one of the largest juried arts and crafts fairs held in B.C. Live music and theatre performances will keep attendees entertained as they explore the craft booths and children's activities will keep little ones busy. Getting hungry? Visit one of the fair's concession booths and uncover some hidden gastronomic treats.
The fair is a fundraising event presented by the Sunshine Coast Arts Council, which has been serving the community in support of the arts since 1966.
