Gibsons Public Art Gallery is pleased to present Canadian recording artist Jenica Rayne on Aug. 20 who will be opening GPAG’s ninth year of presenting Art Stroll in the Landing. The art stroll runs from Aug. 21 to 23 with plein air painting, art draws and music. Rayne is a passionate singer, a diverse gifted songwriter, accomplished guitarist and dynamic performer. Her songs are personal as well as socially conscious, are beautifully crafted, and offer sophisticated music that is easy to listen to but invites close attention. The title track from Rayne’s latest album, Hit the Ground Running, could be her theme song. And to put it another way, she says, “Just do something – you have to make life happen.” The opening concert is on Aug. 20 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the gallery. Admission is by donation.
