White Noise
White Noise, an exhibition by Jill Pilon, opens July 28 at the Gibsons Public Art Gallery with a reception on Saturday, July 30 from 2 to 4 p.m. Pilon started painting to tell stories. Painting is her voice. Now resident in Gibsons and fresh from East Vancouver, she saw and experienced beauty and love, as well as pain and ugliness – the opposites forever present in all things. Pilon writes: “I realized that our unlimited ability to access information from the internet means time wasted on social media looking at people and videos, connections with strangers from past and present, and always the media, with its many messages, constantly demanding attention. All of this background noise is constantly taking up space in the back of our minds.” For further information about the show, call Michael Aze at 604-886-0531.
Day Out of Time
