Come to St. Hilda's in Sechelt on Saturday, Aug. 15, and you will get to see another facet of Edette's work as a musician. Besides wielding a mean baton, she sings professionally with two other equally talented women. The three of them make up Kallisto - a most beautiful trio that is taking Canada by storm.

A cappella performance (singing without instruments) is an ancient art form and a perfect match for these three beautiful voices. This incredible trio sings a brand of a cappella that features a diverse repertoire, making them an amazingly engaging group that keeps audiences spellbound. Meshing the quirky approach of Bobby McFerrin with the stylish jazz harmonies of Manhattan Transfer into Canadiana, folk and pop songs gives Kallisto a warm and inviting sound - with an edge. This group continues to wow audiences wherever they go.

Fabiana Katz, Karen Mang and Gagné, all highly-regarded professional musicians in their own right, are making waves with their artistry. On stage, their personalities play off one another perfectly - captivating and entertaining - while their flawlessly-tuned voices seem to effortlessly blend into one.

The concert truly has something for everyone, from medieval to modern, from Bach to the Andrews Sisters, from ballad to tango and every stop in between. Both Sides Now will show you Edette's "other side" and every beautiful side of this vocal trio.

The concert starts at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20 adults, $15 for students and seniors. Reservations are recommended - call 778-999-3803 or see www.kallistotrio.com.
