Each year, BC Culture Days sends a delegate to the annual National Congress on Culture to represent artists and cultural workers from across B.C.
The Culture Days weekend in September is a national celebration of arts, culture and heritage inviting the public behind the scenes to discover the world of artists, creators, historians, architects, curators and designers at work. This year BC Culture Days, along with the Ministry of Community Sport and Cultural Development, invites artists and cultural workers once again to apply for the role of BC Ambassador. They will offer a $2,500 award towards their planned Culture Days event.
Ten finalists will be selected as local ambassadors and awarded $1,000 towards the production of Culture Days events in their community. B.C. communities are encouraged to register their BC Culture Days plans at www.culturedays.ca starting next week. For eligibility and submission guidelines, applicants should visit bc.culturedays.ca by April 13.
