The Sunshine Coast Art Crawl is back this year, on Oct. 22, 23, and 24, and now’s the time for artists and venues who want to be a part of it to sign up.

The deadline to join as a participating artist/venue is Thursday, July 15.

Linda Williams, of the Coast Cultural Alliance (CCA), told Coast Reporter that with the move to Step 3 of the B.C. Restart Plan, and the scheduled move to Step 4 on Sept. 7, organizers are looking ahead “with cautious optimism, and are preparing for open, drop-in studios” this year.

“However, we are keeping our options open in case of any setback in the restart plan by continuing to offer the options of appointment-only and virtual-only,” Williams said.

“The 2020 Art Crawl created ways to interact with participants in a variety of formats, both online and in-person, during the COVID-19 pandemic and proved to be highly successful,” Williams added.

The fee to join Art Crawl this year is $135, and applicants must be members of the CCA. After the July 15 deadline, applications will be accepted as space allows at an additional fee of $20.
