Rockfish Art

It’s rockfish season at Gibsons Public Market – Rockfish Art season, that is. Purchase a $20, unfinished plywood rockfish form from the market and wade in. Many families make this a group effort every year. Just Google “rockfish art” to get the idea. You can take your finished masterpiece back to the market, if you choose to donate it. The works are put up for auction in June with proceeds to the market’s aquarium, the Nicholas Sonntag Marine Education Centre.
