The Sechelt Arts Festival presents international dance artist and choreographer Joshua Beamish in a performance of his new five-part production, Falling Upward, at Raven’s Cry Theatre on Saturday, Oct. 17 and Sunday, Oct. 18. Also featured are dancers Renee Sigouin, Francesca Manson, and Natalie Martin. The number of tickets is limited to enable safe seating, but the performances are being recorded for live-streaming at a later date. Tickets at sechetlartsfestival.com.
The festival is also presenting other exhibits, including Steamship Stories, a display at Trail Bay Mall recalling the days when ships regularly visited Sechelt, which was then just a village. At the Teredo Square mall, see new work by six local artists. The immersive art experience Meme Me is on at the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre. Check exhibit hours and information on more sights to see at the Sechelt Arts Festival website.
