Shot on the frontlines of struggles spanning five continents - where the mainstream media cannot go - The Fourth World War is the untold human story of men and women who resist being annihilated in the current global conflict. This film shows dramatic and inspiring footage of people's resistance to tyranny and repression across the globe.

While North American airwaves are crowded with talk of a new world war, narrated by generals and filmed from the noses of bombs, the human face of war is rarely seen. The Fourth World War weaves images and voices of the war on the ground - from the front lines of struggles in Mexico, Argentina, South Africa, Palestine, Korea, Seattle and Geneva and the War on Terror in New York and Iraq.

Narrated by Tony Award winner Suheir Hammad and singer Michael Franti of Spearhead, it is an inspiring story of hope and human connection in the face of a war that shatters and divides.

Opening the evening will be the film June 18.

An historic event, the Carnival Against Capitalism on June 18, 1999 was the precursor to the WTO protests and police riots in Seattle in December later that same year.

It was also the first major international day of action as hundreds of thousands of people turned out to shut down financial centres across the globe in protest of the G8 meeting in Cologne.
