Waiting and Trees

Two exciting shows opened last weekend at the Gibsons Public Art Gallery. A group of Vancouver-based artists, the Full Circle collective, collaborated on a series of panels rendered in many mediums and the results are colourful. The theme is waiting and finding all the images that pertain to those who wait – knitting, card games, rocking chairs, clocks – is what interests the viewer. In the adjacent Eve Smart Gallery, Katherine Johnston shows her detailed collage work of trees, also a colourful and textural show. Show runs until Nov. 26. Read more at www.gpag.ca
