The Sunshine Coast Arts Centre is the place to be Feb. 14 for a special night of entertainment.
You can celebrate St. Valentine's Day and the birthday of renowned classical master Andres Segovia with guitarist extraordinaire Steve Karagianis and the equally talented Paul Pinsonnault at this special concert at 7:30 p.m.
Steve K, well-known on the Coast as a performer and teacher, graduated from the University of Victoria majoring in classical guitar and has been playing guitar for 22 years. He has released two solo CDs, So Long Velvet Rut and Headspace, featuring acoustic guitar, instrumentals and lyrical songs.
Pinsonnault holds a bachelor of music and a masters in classical guitar performance. His experience in teaching guitar includes the Victoria Conservatory of Music and Capilano College. He also took master classes with John Mills, Elliot Fisk and others. The duo met when they played in the University of Victoria Quartet in 1989. This will be a cabaret-style concert at the Arts Centre. Tickets are available at Talewind Books, Coast Books and the Arts Centre in Sechelt.
