Winner splits Experience Card raffle prize

Gibsons SAR fundraiser
RCM SAR Winners
RCM SAR Unit 14 member David Croal with draw winners Jaye Thomas and John Brydle

The draw for the RCM-SAR 14 fundraiser raffle was held Friday, May 4 at the 101 BrewHouse + Distillery. Jaye Thomas was the winner in the draw – but in a very generous gesture, he offered to split the prize and suggested a second name be drawn. The second winning ticket drawn belonged to John Brydle. The two will share the $1,000 BC Ferries Experience Card prize.

Proceeds from the fundraiser went to the Gibsons Marine Rescue Society, which administers and raises funds for the Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue Station 14 Gibsons.

RCM-SAR 14 expressed thanks to everyone who supported the event by purchasing tickets and also to the owners, management and staff of the 101 BrewHouse + Distillery, who hosted the raffle draw and have shown great support for the SAR station’s fundraising initiatives.
