The Students of West Sechelt Elementary decided this year to do a coin drive instead of food collection for the Sunshine Coast food bank. In total the students brought in $800 in change, over the course of a two-week period. Students emptied their piggy banks in an attempt to be the class with the largest amount raised. Mrs. Andre’s class was the winner with almost $180 brought in by the class of 22.
The winning class presented Norm Blair from the food bank with the cheque.
