Three skaters from the Sunshine Coast Skating Club, Brielle Avila, Alexa Kovski and Keira Squires, received invitations to participate in the Skate Canada BC/YK Provincial Development Camp in Kelowna over the Easter long weekend, based upon their scores and placements within the Super Series competitions throughout the province this season.
Brielle Avila also received recognition for her multiple first and second placements in Star 6 out of 172 skaters province-wide in this category and placing fourth overall in the province. Brielle was invited to the Coast Region AGM and awards banquet held in Vancouver to receive a plaque acknowledging her achievement and was selected to be a member of the BC Coast Region Challenge Team.
